Makoto is Elsa's and Anna's childhood friend. He and his family moved to Arendelle, when they found out about Makoto's fire powers. He tends to set things on fire (accidently of course), that's why he always tries to conceal his powers by wearing black leather gloves. It seems that he's okay with his powers and has full control, but in reality he's afraid of them. As a child, he accidently hurt his sister and he never forgave himself for that (even if his sister did forgive him). His father always called him "Monster" and never eccepted his powers. His mother and his sister were the only reasons why he never considered to run away. When he's near Elsa, he has more control over his powers, since her ice powers neutralizes his fire powers and vice versa (but he never knew that Elsa has ice powers). His powers can vanish for a short period of time, when he becomes cold (which can only happen when Elsa or Mizuko (the child of water) cools him down with their powers). When he's nervous, stressed or afraid the temperature rises (he's even responsible for a drought in Corona). He and his family moved to Corona when he was still a kid and he never knew why. When his parents died and his sister moved in with her boyfriend, Makoto travels through the world to meet all the other blessed children who have magical abilities. In his journey he met the child of water, lightning, air and earth and he became best friends with the child of water. His next stop is Arendelle to visit Elsa and Anna and to meet the child of ice, which is called "Snow Queen".
